About

After only 18 months of training, Kevin was hired as associate choreographer to legendary choreographer Vincent Paterson for Madonna’s Blond Ambition Tour. He quickly became dance captain and dancer for the World Tour, for which both the movie “Madonna: Truth or Dare” and the video for “Vogue” were made, and performed in Madonna’s unforgettable Edwardian appearance on the M T V Music Video Awards. Soon after he was working with Gloria Estefan, Prince, and Michael Jackson, among others, as associate choreographer/dancer, and won the Grand Prize on the television show “Star Search.” His group, ‘New World’ went undefeated, winning a record 10 shows.

He modeled for major designers like Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, Tommy Hilfiger, Romeo Gigli and Exté, and worked with celebrity photographers David Lachapelle, Matthew Rolston, Peggy Sirota, Herb Ritts and Santo D’Orazio, at a time when Asians were not accepted in the industry.

Kevin performed in movies such as Sister Act 2, as Daryl in Showgirls, as Swifty the Rake in Newsies and as Goldman Girl Yum Mee in The Birdcage, for which he won a SAG award. He toured Japan as dance partner/singer for Japanese artist Seiko Matsuda and also with Ricky Martin, promoting “La Vida Loca”. He moved to Italy to appear weekly singing, dancing, and acting on the variety show, Buona Domenica.

Kevin worked in more than 6o commercials, including 13 for the Gap and Old Navy, most famously in Khaki-a-go-go. He also appeared in 14 Pepsi commercials, along with such personalities as Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Beyonce and Britney Spears. More films and over 50 videos followed; most notably Austin Powers: Goldmember, Charlie’s Angels and Rent, and music videos for David Bowie, Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Jane’s Addiction, and Janet Jackson. From Cher, Salt n’ Pepa and Whitney Houston to Rihanna, Debbie Gibson and Jack’s Mannequin he has worked with the great pop icons of our time. He’s appeared on over 20 award shows and served as character inspiration for animated movies at Disney, The Smurfs and A Christmas Carol. He also finds time to choreograph fashion shows, including biannual shows for the women’s label Cabi.

Several years ago Kevin released several singles, five music videos and two full-length albums under the name That Rogue Romeo. He has sung at landmark club venues, and has appeared at various events and Gay Pride festivals worldwide. His first single, City of Glass stayed at #1 on the Zurich radioplay chart for 8 weeks. His song Joy was chosen as the finale for the movie Eating Out: Lost Weekend by writer/director Q. Allan Brocka, and songs from the “Machine & Magic” album were chosen to air on the National Italian train system.

He is currently touring the worldwide film festival circuit as one of the subjects of the acclaimed documentary Strike A Pose, directed by Reijer Zwaan and Ester Gould.
